New Year, New Calendar, New Format!
B&B is thrilled to be a partner with the Portland Street Art Alliance once again in 2021. Our calendar showcases many amazing works around the greater Portland, Oregon area. These installations were produced by a number of talented artists in the community.
This year we’ve taken it up a notch, utilizing all our equipment in-house to produce individual monthly sheets on a variety of stocks using our new Xerox Iridesse Press. What’s cool is that we applied gold and silver inks under full-color process to illustrate the opportunities our new technologies have to offer!
There is a stand to assemble to hold the individual sheets throughout the year. This was printed and digitally die-cut on our large format equipment. The box it comes in was printed on our 40″ KBA offset press, die-cut, scored, folded, and glued on our state of the art packaging equipment. Truly a composite of so many capabilities and opportunities in print to celebrate!

About the Work
Cloe Ashton is an illustrator living in Portland. Working in a wide variety of mediums, her pieces speak to an activist spirit, veering from the low-brow whimsy to subversive. With her first mural, Cloe experimented with special reflective spray paint on the ghost bike. Shine a bright light or flash on it and see it glow!
This mural represents massive bike rides that normally occur throughout the month of June in Portland, a festival called Pedalpalooza. In times like these, we have an opportunity to reflect on why we gather, what it means, and how we can make the streets safer.
