It’s spring and the flowers are blooming all over the beautiful Pacific NW. In celebration of new beginnings, we present our April 2021 Portland Street Art Alliance / B&B Print Source Calendar page in print — Ladies Up by artist Tatyana Ostapenko. Request a copy or three of this year’s production to adorn your desk as you may start to reenter the office, or spice up your home office with our unique calendar.
This month’s page is printed on our Xerox Iridesse Press using full color process and metallic inks on Classic Stipple Avalanche White. It stands tall on our paperboard stand printed by our Large Format Printing department team – sleek and stylish!
About the Work
Tatyana Ostapenko is a contemporary visual artist living in Portland. Her artwork focuses on the daily lives of people who usually do not make it into history books. Inspired by images from her native Ukraine, she seeks to depict a universal human experience, evoke empathy and hope in the face of adversity, and portray the indomitable spirit of all our mothers and grandmothers who withstood continued struggles and weathered many storms with dignity.
“I make oil paintings because I am under a spell of tradition. Having grown up in a failed utopia, the now-defunct USSR, I use pictorial language to probe its aftermath. I make contemporary history paintings to record the daily lives of people who usually do not make it into official historical records.” – Tatyana Ostapenko
