NOTSIK | FEATURED Artists | CENTRAL EASTSIDE history MURAL

PSAA worked with five artists to bring new murals to complete a large-scale installation painted on the All Service Moving building at 66 S.E. Morrison St., under the Belmont Viaduct, expanding the Central Eastside Mural District. This project was completed with major support from the Central Eastside Together Community Grant Program.

This month’s featured artist Notsik is a Portland street artist known for her surreal cartoony characters, clean lines, and symbolic images. Here’s how she describes her All Service Moving piece, Vicous Cycles:

“This piece represents all the chaos and evil in this world, and how we are all just some rabbits trying to run, hide, and survive it all. There are far too many wolves out there who are dying for the chance to eat your heart out.”

Notsik was joined in the installation by fellow Portland artists Naomi Likayi, Hayden Senter, Pono, and Habiba Abdul Rahim. For more on the collaboration behind this mural and the support that brought it to life, read the story on PSAA’s website.

B&B Print Source in Partnership with PSAA

We created the notebook series to help share the inspirational works and stories of PSAA artists. And we hope to encourage and inspire anyone who receives these notebooks to bring forth their creative visions.

Please use the books for simple note-taking, elaborate sketching, or both. If you create something you’d like to share, post it to our Instagram or Facebook. We’d love to see it. Need some inspiration? Check out some of the fun drawings that we’ve already received on social.
