Tips & Tricks

Let’s be transparent – when considering a clear window cling application for window graphics, there are a few tips and tricks to ensure they draw in passersby.

Creating Compelling Window Clings

Design: Type should be white or a bright color for the best results. Avoid using dark colors as they tend to disappear and are not effective.

Keep in mind that with clear clings you will see the image in reverse from the back if you just print on one side. We recommend, especially if there is text, to incorporate a flood of ink (white or appropriate brand color for your environment). Another option is to print an image for inside viewing as well.

File Prep: Make sure all type is outlined and any line artwork is in a native vector format.  This allows us to print spot colors with a clear background. With photos, you will want to spec white ink behind the photo to make them pop, otherwise, they will be hard to read.
