B&B + NATIVE ARTS AND CULTURES FOUNDATION CALENDAR – May 2024
We’re excited to announce our 2024 partnership with The Native Arts and Cultures Foundation. The NACF is a Native-led, national nonprofit that advances equity and cultural knowledge. They focus on the power of arts and collaboration to strengthen Native American Indian, Hawaiian, and Alaska peoples and communities while promoting positive social change in the United States. The May 2024 Calendar features Kealoha Wong, a Native Hawaiian and NACF Community Inspiration Project Grantee. It highlights his Epic poem + multimedia performance titled “The Story of Everything.”

Kealoha Wong | B&B Calendar APRIL Featured artist
Hawai’i’s First Poet Laureate – “The Story of Everything” is my most important work, it’s the culmination of everything I have learned throughout life,” said Kealoha Wong, founder of renowned HawaiiSlam and a MIT nuclear physics graduate. “It took me half my life to study the science behind this piece, half my life to study the art of poetry and storytelling, and about half a decade to actually create this work.”
About the Project
The Story of Everything (TSOE) began as a NACF Community Inspiration project and science-based theater production with its creator, Kealoha Wong. Kealoha’s project brings together visual artists, musicians, a chant master, and dancers in an embrace of science, modern and traditional culture, world music, and The Kumulipo (the Native Hawaiian creation story chant). Most recently, TSOE has been produced as a film by Engaging the Senses Foundation.
